Downloading your company's visura camerale (Italian business-registration document) is free: if you're the owner or a director you get it in minutes from the Entrepreneur's Digital Drawer (impresa.italia.it), at no cost. Here's how, step by step.
What the visura is
The visura lists the company's official data filed with the Chamber of Commerce: legal name, VAT number and tax code, registered office, activities (ATECO codes), directors and roles, share capital and company status (active, in liquidation…). It's often required by banks, suppliers and public tenders — and, on SamBooks, for the manual verification of a company entered by hand.
Free from the Digital Drawer (no need to pay)
Several websites sell visure for a fee. But if you're the company's owner or director, you get the same official document for free from the Entrepreneur's Digital Drawer, the free service of the Italian Chambers of Commerce.
What you need
- Your digital identity: SPID, CNS (National Services Card) or CIE (Electronic Identity Card).
- To be a director / legal representative of the company: the Drawer shows the companies linked to your identity.
Step 1 — Go to impresa.italia.it
Open impresa.italia.it, the official portal of the Entrepreneur's Digital Drawer.
Step 2 — Sign in with your digital identity
Click «Sign in» and log in with SPID, CNS or CIE. The system automatically recognises the companies you're a director of.
Step 3 — Open «Official documents → Official statements»
In the «La tua impresa» (Your company) section, go to «Documenti ufficiali» (Official documents) → «Prospetti ufficiali» (Official statements).
Step 4 — Download the «Visura ordinaria completa»
Choose «Visura ordinaria completa» (full ordinary visura) and download the PDF: it's the official document, updated in real time from the Business Register.
The visura is current as of the download date
The PDF reflects the data valid at the moment of download. If you need it for a procedure (or for SamBooks verification), download it shortly before using it, so it's always up to date.
Need it for SamBooks verification?
If you registered your company by entering it manually, SamBooks may ask for the visura to complete verification. Frequently asked questions
Is it really free? Yes: from the Entrepreneur's Digital Drawer your own company's visura is free for the owner/director. The sites that sell it offer the same document for a fee.
I don't have SPID, CNS or CIE. You need at least one of these identities to sign in. SPID can be activated for free through various providers; the CIE is the electronic identity card issued by your municipality. Alternatively, the visura can be requested (for a fee) on the registroimprese.it portal or at a Chamber of Commerce desk.
Ordinary, historical or certified visura? For most uses (and for SamBooks) the full ordinary visura is fine. The «historical» one adds the timeline of changes.
